The Juan Sebastián de Elcano is a steel four-masted topsail schooner and the official sail training ship of the Spanish Navy. It bears the name of the Spanish explorer Juan Sebastián Elcano.

The ship was launched in 1927 and began its maiden voyage in 1928. It has taken part, and continues to take part, in many international sailing events. It is currently the world’s largest schooner-rigged sailing vessel (not a pure gaff schooner because of the fore topsail yard) and, after Sedov and Kruzenshtern, the third-largest sailing ship in service in the world (cruise ships not counted).
