The Lynx was a schooner owned by investors James Williams, Amos Williams and Levi Hollingsworth, completed in 1812 in Baltimore.

After its very first voyage as a merchant ship to Bordeaux, it fell victim to the British trade blockade. The British dispossessed the owners and put the Lynx into service with the Royal Navy. Its name was changed to “Musquidobit”.

In 1820 the ship was sold and its traces disappear. In 2001, a replica of the ship was built by Rockport Marine.
