What are RC models?
RC stands for “remote control,” meaning that the model is controlled remotely. Our RC models have a hollow compartment in their hull. You can easily install a suitable motor in this compartment, which then communicates with your
remote control.

What do I need an RC model for?
Whether you want to test yourself and your model in a competition against other model builders, or simply try out and improve your new model in a relaxed setting while enjoying the weather
outdoors, is entirely up to you.

Are the models waterproof?
These wooden ship models are sealed inside and out with epoxy resin and clear varnish, protecting them against water ingress. So you do not need to worry about water getting inside.

Are all ship models suitable for a motor?
No. Only ship models marked “RC Ready” are suitable for installing a motor and operating them on the water.

What materials are used?
We construct all of our model ship hulls from wood using traditional frame construction. Depending on the type of ship, we also use a wide range of other materials, including brass, copper, stainless steel, leather, and fabric.
