San Felipe was a warship of the Spanish Navy that was launched in La Coruña in 1690. At the time, she was probably the most heavily armed ship in the Spanish fleet.
In 1705, San Felipe became involved in a naval battle with 35 English ships. She was heavily damaged, boarded and sank.
However, there are also doubts today as to whether San Felipe ever existed in this form, since many technical elements were actually too advanced for the era and for the Spanish Navy, and the design partly resembles later French ships.

The ship model shown is a scale reproduction of the San Felipe.
This model was built 100% by hand and with precision using traditional frame construction with hull planking.
Exotic fine woods such as teak, mahogany, rosewood or mango are used, among others, resulting in a valuable and decorative premium model.
After completion, the hull is carefully sanded and, where intended, painted. The model is then coated with a protective clear varnish.
Ornaments and decorative details (e.g. cannons, portholes, anchors, dials and wheels …) are made of brass, chrome or other high-quality metals.
The sails are made of fabric or silk, the masts are made of wood, and the rigging is made of solid cotton threads. Some of these ropes have special knots that allow the ropes to be retensioned at any time.
